Program Structure
At Pindari House, our rehabilitation program is a structured, evidence-based journey built on transformation, accountability, and healing. The program is divided into four progressive stages, each with clearly defined goals, therapeutic focus, and transition criteria.
Our Program consists of 2 Phases that have 2 stages in each phase
Phase 1
Phase 1 is aprroximately 6 months
Stage 1 & 2
Phase 1 serves as the critical starting point in the Pindari Program, focusing on helping residents stabilise their immediate life circumstances while beginning the deeper work of recovery. Residents complete key administrative and legal tasks such as obtaining identification, confirming income support (e.g. Centrelink), addressing outstanding debts, resolving legal issues, and managing essential responsibilities like fines enforcement and license renewal. They also begin developing a tailored plan toward employment or further study, laying the groundwork for future independence.
At the same time, residents engage in a structured therapeutic curriculum delivered through teaching sessions and formal counselling. This curriculum provides a comprehensive framework that addresses the root causes of addiction, fosters emotional healing, and promotes personal growth.
Together, these two components practical life stabilisation and therapeutic development create an integrated and supportive environment. As residents restore external stability, they are simultaneously equipped with the internal tools needed for long-term recovery and reintegration into healthy, everyday life.
Phase 2
Phase 2 approximately 6 months
Stage 3 & 4
As residents advance through the Pindari Program, they exhibit increasing independence and personal responsibility. They take ownership of their financial obligations by actively managing debts and fines, completing tax lodgments, and reducing reliance on Centrelink support. This stage marks a critical transition from external dependency to self-directed living, with residents beginning part-time work or study aligned with their long-term career or educational goals.
In the final stage, the emphasis shifts to long-term sustainability and preparation for independent living. Residents are fully disengaged from income support systems, consistently engaged in employment or education throughout the week, and effectively managing all legal, financial, and administrative responsibilities. At this point, they are equipped to transition into supported housing and access continuing care, ensuring a stable and successful reintegration into the wider community.
Continuing Care & Transition Housing
Once a resident has completed Phase 1 & 2 of the rehabilitation program they are eligible to go into our continuing care and transition program.
