How long is the Pindari Program?

3
K

We have developed our framework to run over a 12-month period. The first Phase of our program ( see  Program Structure under “The Program” tab )  is 6-7 months.  The second Phase is where integration back into employment or study happens, which is approximately 6 months. Pindari has a continuing care / transition program for those needing support and housing assistance.

The time frames above are a guide. Each persons program and its duration is on a case-by-case basis.

How much does the Pindari Program cost?

3
K

We don’t want to make money a barrier for taking action towards change! With this in mind, the amount we charge is considerably lower than the actual cost of the Pindari Program (actual cost is $1650 per week for a resident).

The weekly charge is $500* per week.

*However, those either on Centrelink or eligible for Centrelink are only charged 80% of their Centrelink payment, or a minimum of $300 per week, whichever is greater.

This amount helps to contribute to the housing, food and program costs. Pindari seeks to cover the shortfall through fundraising and sponsorship within our local community. We are grateful for the community support we recieve. Clients also contirbute in a small way to the short fall by participating in work on and off site, which is part of the work therapy program.

In Summary:

Entry Fee (non-refundable): Entry fee includes the program fee for: Ongoing fortnightly fee of:
Unable to get Centrelink due to financial circumstances & you have 100 points of Identification? $1,150 2 weeks $1,000
Currently receiving Centrelink Payments? $750 2 weeks 80% of Centrelink or a minimum of $600 per fortnight, whichever is greater
Not Currently receiving Centrelink Payments and you have 100 points of Identification? $1,350 4 weeks 80% of Centrelink or a minimum of $600 per fortnight, whichever is greater
Not Currently receiving Centrelink Payments and you do not have 100 points of Identification? $2,550 8 weeks 80% of Centrelink or a minimum of $600 per fortnight, whichever is greater

Important to note:

  • The entry fee inclusive of the program fee is non-refundable.

No, unfortunately, we require the individual to apply for himself. This is because it shows the first step towards seeking change, and demonstrates that he is willing to take action.

This is to ensure residents are focused on settling into the program and to minimise outside distractions.

No, we understand that sometimes, the journey is tough and relapse is a possibility.

If a resident relapses during or after completion of the program we will discuss with the resident what it will look like for them to re-engage in the program.
